ASCA and UAE Accountants and Auditors Association Conduct Several Joint Training Programs
The course focused on introducing participants to the development, objectives and importance of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
DUBAI------ October 17, 2012 ------- In cooperation with the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), the UAE Accountants and Auditors Association (AAA) held a joint training course entitled "The International Public Sector Accounting Standards and their New Amendments".
The course focused on introducing participants to the development, objectives and importance of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), providing them with the basic knowledge and necessary skills to apply these standards and identifying accounting characteristics in the public sector and its modern trends.
Mr. Saif Mohammed Bin Aabid Al Muheri, AAA chairman, said:"Cooperation with the Society in the training field aims at implementing joint courses at the highest applicable professional standards, in order to meet the needs of job market and AAA members and to achieve one of AAA’s most important objectives represented in developing the accounting and financial competencies to contribute to supporting the national economy."
Meanwhile, Mr. Salim Al Ouri, ASCA manager said: "We are happy to cooperate with AAA in holding such events. The significance of holding such courses that contribute to promoting awareness about IPSAS is very crucial and we will continue in other areas throughout the UAE."
The UAE Accountants and Auditors Association was established under the ministerial resolution No. (227) of 1997, with a view to upgrading the profession and serving its members as per the international best practices. It is also committed by its mission to create an ideal environment promoting the professions of accounting and auditing.
